Middle East and North Africa Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum

June 2nd -3rd in Istanbul

The Middle East and North Africa Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum will bring together 100 leading young entrepreneurs and World Economic Forum Global Shapers to achieve three main objectives

1) To provide a platform for the participants to network and share ideas on ways to promote entrepreneurship and innovation in the MENA region.

2) To assist the entrepreneurs attract investments for their ventures by inviting investors and financiers to meet with them during the forums' innovation showcase.

3) For the entrepreneurs to work in teams to develop solutions for communities in the MENA region facing water problems.

The goal of the MENA Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum is to raise a new generation of young entrepreneurs with a different orientation and global outlook.


Program

The plenary and workshop sessions during the forum will be developed around three pillars

1) Entrepreneurship and Innovation

2) Women Empowerment and Job Creation

3) Conflict Resolution and Peace-Building


Participants

Attendees to the 1st MENA Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum will be selected by our partner organizations which include the Kairos Society, Business Across Borders, Babson College and Schwab Foundation. In addition to this, 5 World Economic Forum Global Shapers from selected hubs in the region will be invited to attend as well.


Gender Parity

One of the main priorities for the MENA Young Entrepreneurs Business Forum is gender parity. In light of this, we will ensure that 50% of the attendees are females. Also, 50% of all our speakers will be females.


Venue

The event will take place from June 2nd -3rd in Istanbul. The timing and location of the event is to ensure that we leverage the coverage of the WEF meeting on the Middle East, Europe and Central Asia which will take place from June 4 - 6 to assist young entrepreneurs in the MENA region and make entrepreneurship and innovation a central tenet for policy makers.

The Forum is organized by the Six Days of Peace Initiative with support from the Amman, Istanbul, Tel Aviv, Ramallah and Cairo WEF Global Shapers Hub.
